How this professional ranking works
Professional mentions come from the same AI responses we use to rank businesses. A post-scan pass reads each response for person-name mentions and links them to an organization — e.g. "Stephen Cherner at Aronson Mayefsky" becomes one citation for Cherner attached to Aronson Mayefsky.
Because individuals come up less often than their organizations, share-percentage math isn't reliable at this level. So we publish raw citation counts and AI coverage (how many of the four AI assistants named the person) instead.
Citation volume reflects how often AI assistants name a given professional. It does NOT reflect competence, outcomes, or peer review. For statistically supported business rankings, see the business leaderboard.
